Developing people and services in health care

In this part of the site we aim to offer you:

• Occasional briefing papers on concepts that pass into the health care management vocabulary without always being fully understood.The first of these is on Systems Thinking. • Working papers exploring strategy development in health care organisations. The first is a paper, Strategy Development in the Complex Organisitons of the NHS written for the NHS Confederation considering how to marry classical concepts of strategy with insights from other strands of thinking, including complexity theory.
• A conundrum - an opportunity for you to say how you would respond in a particular situation and compare your answers with those of others.
